When you go on a trip in your RV, traveling in your RV is only part of the fun. The other part is the activities that you’ll be doing once you arrive in your RV.
It’s usually a good idea to plan ahead and even schedule the activities you’ll be doing in advance so you have a good idea of your trip and won’t have to make any hasty spur-of-the-moment decisions.
Here are five fun activities you can do on your next RV camping trip:
1 – Sightsee
Sightseeing is something you can do both during the road trip and the camping portions of your RV trip. Whether it’s a large waterfall, an old building, a national monument, a stunning panorama of the mountains or just a beautiful meadow along the road, there is lots of things to see on any RV trip. Always have your phone or camera ready to take pictures.
2 – Hiking
Most RV campgrounds and parks have no shortage of hiking trails in the area. Some are long, others are short; some are steep and rugged and others are flat and easy-going.
If you visit a campground in a state or national park in particular, there should be a network of trails that can challenge even the most experienced hikers. Hiking is a great opportunity to explore nature as well as to get plenty of physical exercise.
3 – Socialize With The Other Campers
Does socializing really count as an activity, you might ask? Well, why wouldn’t it?
More often than not, other campers will approach you first to talk rather than you approaching them. They may even happily offer to help set up your camp and/or you can find people who are interested in some of the same activities you are.
4 – Just Do Hobbies You Enjoy
This is your trip, so you should enjoy it by doing the things that you enjoy the most. Ask yourself what sounds fun to you. Panning for gold? Geocaching? Fishing? Mountain biking? Going shopping in the nearest town? Going for a stroll along the beach? Motorcycle or ATV riding? Going for a picnic in the mountains? Since your goal should be to have fun on your trip, be sure to fit in activities that you know you will truly enjoy.
5 – Do Nothing
Finally, yes, you can even do nothing on your RV trip. Well, preferably not literally nothing. But simply taking it easy, as in taking naps, reading, sitting around the campfire, and other calming activities are certainly things you can do too if that’s what you prefer. Remember, it’s your trip, so spend your time doing the things you truly enjoy.
Having Fun On Your RV Trip
RV trips are meant to be fun for the whole family more than anything else. You’ll definitely want to plan ahead about what you plan to do during your trip, an d these are just five of the ideas that you can consider.
