Top 6 Tips to Simplify Cooking

November 18, 2020

Cooking is supposed to bring you the peace you so desperately need, by granting you a healthy meal and the vital nutrients your body requires. If you’re ready to take back what’s yours, these meal prep and cooking tips are going to make your life easier and healthier. From the fridge to the microwave – we’ve got you covered.

1. Keep It Simple:

We all tend to complicate cooking when it doesn’t have to. Some foods just don’t. There is really not reason to be putting a lot of extra effort into a recipe, the more you do the worse it is for your health in most cases. Keep it basic, keep it simple, you’ll get healthy and fit much faster.

2. Keep It Organized:

We need to be honest with ourselves, us humans are pretty messy. With unhealthy dishes and clutter all around us, we can’t be too surprised with how chaotic our lives get. Take a night and really do inventory on what we have in our kitchen and do some organizing, clean out the fridge, get rid of old junk, and cut the clutter.

3. Plan Your Meals:

Use your Sunday to plan your meals for the week. You can pull up our meal planner and create your grocery list for the week. Simple, healthy meals are no trouble when you’ve got a bunch already planned out. Try it out, you’ll be happy you did.

4. Have a Chopping Party:

A group of your friends or family members can come over every Sunday (or your night) and help you chop up fruits and vegetables while you make your meal planning. The more the merrier and there will be more hands to help clean up. Trust me, it’s a win-win situation.

5. Reduce and Reuse:

Even though this is a tip for reducing our household footprint, it also helps when you have that huge pile of fruits and veggies you just chopped. You can freeze fruits and veggies for later use to save time and have on hand when your cooking. They will keep for a few months and save you from having to chop them all over again.

6. Cook Jasmine Rice in a Rice Cooker:

Learn how to cook jasmine rice in a rice cooker, trust me, this one trick will help you save a ton of time. Super easy to do and it tastes better than if you run it through a pot on the stove, fresh, fluffy, and delicious! I suggest you to get a rice cooker if you don’t already have one as it’s going to make your life so much easier.

Verdict:

It’s time to get back to living, back to cooking, back to being in control.

Think about this, you are no longer chained down by fear. Your life has been handed back to you. You have control and you have power. Use it to better yourself and you’ll see the best you yet. Take advantage of this opportunity and watch your life transform for the better. Eat right. Live clean. Live happy.
