Ever wondered where the best beaches are for total relaxation? Here at Cat & I, we have checked out some of the best beaches in Australia to hang out and to rock your womens long sleeve rashie. I must say though, with over 10,685 beaches, it is so hard to come up with just 8 but there are some of our favourites.
1. Bondi Beach NSW
Bondi has been a firm favourite for years now with awesome waves, sand and not to mention all the amenities close by. Cafes, shops, bars and restaurants – you have got everything at your fingertips.
2. Noosa QLD
Noosa is such a beautiful part of this world and you can almost believe you are on an island away from the mainland. Amazing sea life, gorgeous beaches and of course the shopping strip which has got fabulous bars and restaurants. A popular retreat for that mid winter break to escape the cold to get in some sand and sun.
3. Manly Beach NSW
Another of the favourites is Manly and it never fail to disappoint. So much history here along with a beautiful beach, nightlife and of course surfing. An awesome beach to take a walk on or relax on the sand watching the surfers.
4. Cottesloe Beach WA
WA has got some of the country’s most beautiful coastline and Cottesloe Beach is no exception. As a favourite destination for over 100 years for the locals in Perth, it is one of the most popular spots for swimming and other water activities.
5. Byron Bay NSW
Byron Bay is one of the most popular holiday destinations around and is known for its surf and other water activities such as scuba diving. Whale watching is also a big tourist attraction and a great place to take the whole family.
6. Whitehaven Beach QLD
One of Australia’s most amazing beaches has to be Whitehaven beach, a 7km stretch of white pristine sand up in the Whitsunday Islands. It is only accessible by boat or air but is totally worth the trip. Amazing snorkeling awaits or just the most iddylic relaxing place to sit and just enjoy the moment.

What better than visiting tropical North Queensland where the weather is so warm all year around. A popular spot for escaping winter to defrost and relax. Fabulous dining, boutique shopping and a gorgeous beach awaits.

Surfers is so well known around Australia and the world for its surf, fun and family friendly environment. With so many hotels to choose from, restaurants and of course the theme parks for the kids. It is one of the best family friendly places to go and can suit any budget.
