Surfs Up at the Vans Triple Crown Surfing Competition

September 26, 2019

Only the most skilled and courageous surfers from around the world participate in the Vans Triple Crown Surfing Competition. The second jewel in the Triple Crown Surfing, Vans World Cup, will be held at Sunset Beach in Oahu, Hawaii. It is traditionally known for the treacherous and tricky waves served up at Sunset Beach. Only the best big wave surfers can successfully navigate the long and unruly lineup of waves this area is known for.

Surfers from all over the world, and the people who love to watch them, come to Sunset Beach to be part of this surfing event, which enjoys a rich history. In between the surfing excitement and amazing setting, there are many great things to do and places to eat, stay, and play.

Transportation to Vans Triple Crown Surfing Competition

Honolulu International Airport carries most of Hawaii’s visitors to the area. All major domestic airlines and many international airlines serve this airport, so it is no problem for anyone in the world to get an easy flight to Oahu for the Triple Crown.

Leaving the airport is as simple as renting a car, hailing a taxi, or even jumping into a shuttle or taking public transportation straight to the hotel. Getting around town is a breeze as well. Trolleys are a fun option for seeing all the sites. If that isn’t your cup of tea try renting a moped or motorcycle.

Visiting Hawaii means eating some of the best food the world has to offer. There are several different types of authentic Hawaiian eateries in close proximity to Sunset Beach.

Arvo – With outdoor seating and the islands best coffee, Arvo is a great place for a quick bite before a full day of surfing competitions. There is also a little shop with custom items such as clothes, home goods, and gifts.
