Christmas Gifts for Geeks

December 27, 2017

Geek culture is incredibly prevalent in the last decade, so it’s unsurprising that a lot of people identify themselves as geeks. Long gone are the days when the word geek was used as an insult; nowadays, geeks are proud of their geeky heritage. As with everybody else, they love presents, especially in the time of Christmas, but some geeks can be a little picky. So, keep this in mind when buying a present for your fellow geek.

The entire A Song of Ice and Fire Collection

Christmas books are the best to read, and they work doubly when they’re given as a present. The books that spawned the world-famous TV series: Game of Thrones are also very popular and really sought after, and if you’re used to your friend geeking out about the show, then it’s definitely time they’d read the books.

A Harry Potter related present

For two decades, Harry Potter has been bringing magic to our mundane lives, and has subsequently become one of the largest multimedia franchises in the history of media. There are tonnes of memorabilia that originated in the series, from penchants and toys to tattoos and clothing lines. If you’re in doubt, you can always buy the books as new prints and collection come out every year, and they still are a riveting read.

A Game Boy Adapter for a Smartphone

Plenty of people grew up in the 90s playing Nintendo video games, and one of the most popular Nintendo products was the Game Boy. These adapters easily attach to a smartphone and basically transforms the phone into a Game Boy, where the phone’s screen acts as the Game Boy’s. A really cool and novel gift, consider gifting it to the friend that wants to capture that childhood Pokemon magic again.

Anything LEGO

Everybody loves the LEGO building blocks, not only geeks. There’s a reason why the ages listed on the box are 4-99, as they truly allow your creativity to flourish. You can get lost for hours and hours when building something cool, and your friend will really love you if you get them some LEGO blocks. Don’t forget to invite yourself to building sessions; only make sure to not step on any of the blocks as they hurt.

A Lightsaber

Definitely more than one lightsaber is a good gifting option, as any geek worth their salt will play with these as often as possible. This holiday season Star Wars returned with another amazing movie and kept geeks captivated with its magic. People wishing for Star Wars toys and gadgets are at an all-time high, so if you know your friend is a Star Wars fan, buying a lightsaber for them is a must.

Geeks love gifts as much as anyone else, and while it may seem scary when it comes to picking a gift for a geek, especially if you’re not a geek yourself, you don’t have to spend all sorts of money to find something they will love. It’s important to remember that the gift itself doesn’t matter as much as the thought put into buying one. So, relax you can still save money and buy your friend the thoughtful gift you think they deserve.

The gift itself doesn’t matter as much asssss the one. So, ssssssssssssssssssss buy ysink deserve.
