Best Things to Do in the Maldives

November 1, 2018

If you are looking for paradise on this earth, you should visit the Maldives for once. The turquoise water, the white sand beaches, luxurious bungalows, and the colorful cocktails- the place will make you get boozed with its beauty and exotic nature. For the honeymoon couples, Maldives is one of the best places around the world where they can get cozy and enjoy their new life. If you are an adventure lover, the place won’t disappoint you get the opportunity to try different types of activities over there. Here are the best things you can do during your Maldives holiday. Read on to know more-

  1. Go to Banana Reef

If you want to surf, Banana Reef is your destination. It is located on the west of Farukolhufushi Island. The name is derived from the shape of the reef. This is the ultimate place for the divers, surfers, snorkelers, and swimmers. This protected marine area is the house of different aqua animals and soft coral reefs. Once you go for snorkeling, you can discover a beautiful underwater life.

  1. Water Flying

This water activity is really fun, but you have to have strong limbs to face the water current. There are professionals who can guide you there. And then you can only have fun and laughter while doing water flying.

  1. Visit Male

While you are in the Maldives, you should not miss visiting Male, the capital of Maldives. And once you are in Male, go to the Sultan’s Palace. No, it is not a royal palace but the celebrated fish market where you can get amazing cheap deals on fish. If you want to buy a tuna, you will get that at the price of a small piece of your place. Also, you can buy spices and herbs at a much cheap rate.

  1. Enjoy a ‘Dhoni’ Ride

No, we are not talking about ex-Indian Cricket Team Captain. Dhoni is the traditional means of transport of Maldives. You must have sailed in boats, but this one is really amazing and unique. Sail on and enjoy the sound of it.

  1. Visit the National Museum

Male is not only famous for its fish market, but you can also go to the national museum in this capital city. You can find the artifacts of the Sultans’ of Maldives, their dresses, armors and also other anthropological objects. The museum has the lower level which displays the medieval artifacts while the upper level is for the objects of the modern age.

  1. Go Fishing

Your trip to the Maldives won’t get complete if you don’t go fishing. As Maldivians only catch Tuna, you can team up with them and use spears like them. Or you can ask your resort manager to arrange a fishing trip for you. That will be really exciting.

  1. Stroll around Fulhadhoo Beach

Are you on a honeymoon trip? You definitely are looking for a remote place to know each other better and spend romantic time on the beach. This beach is the one that you are looking for your romantic gateway. This small island has only 250 people in the village. The white sandy beach, lush green palms, and the turquoise blue water will write your love story, secretly.

So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and book flight tickets for the Maldives now and have a great vacation with your partner.
